Overland Park Cinemas in Boise, ID. Viewing. Photo. I attended it back in the early- 1. I lived about 8 blocks away. Don’t let the worn out look fool you, this place has a lot of soul in it and the owners are really cool. If wanted, you are able to combine them and get 1 big snack such as nachos. The caramel corn is good (1 ticket)!!! It doesn't have all the modern amenities of the newer theaters, but there is a place for you to sit, a cup holder for your drink, and the movie shows nice and clear. You will hear a bit of next door's movie if there is one playing at the same time, but it doesn't distract me at all. If you want to watch movie for a buck, come here on Tuesdays. Of course their movies are not super new, like a month or 2 months late but if you and your kids need something fun to do for $1 each, then this should be on your list. Seats are not placed steeper too so if the person in front of you is tall then, it's head is on the way. Usually though when we come watch, crowd is not so bad so you have a lot of seat choices. It think it's awesome if they going to update and upgrade OPC to attract more customers. We're still gonna come back though. Solid bargain for first rate movies. The place is relatively clean (it's old), the seats are comfortable, the screen is clear, and the sound system is ok. You can go right down the street and pay triple just to get in, plus over price snacks. Or, you can see great movies at bargain prices more often. Fantastic! Much better than Northgate that we used to frequent. Better deals $1 Tuesday and every day of the week is $2. There is another 'bargain theater' in my neighborhood that we usually frequent. Now, there are limits to what your token will buy, but you can always chip in another buck or so for 'upgrades'. GOOD LUCK getting all of that for $1. OTHER bargain theater in town. We go here all the time and have loved it every time. Been going here since I was a kid. Great ownership and presence in the valley. Support local is my motto. Pricing is right and homemade caremel corn is a must. Clean and cheap with old school ambiance. I love the curtains that are pulled in front of the screen in between viewings. Great alternative to renting movies at home! For the price you are paying this is a fair establishment. On the plus side the movies are only 3. On the negative, it's old and your feet routinely stick to the floor. I cross my fingers and secretly hope that it is only spilled soda ; ). This place is a great staple for the area though - especially if you have children. They often hold the kids movies for extended times. I noticed recently that they had the . We actually finally got to see it and I was pretty stoked that it was still there after all that time. This also means that when movies are there it is easy to go in and not have a packed theater because the movies hang around for so long. It takes me back to the 8. The chairs are the old style and the arm rests don't raise or anything like that. I'm a large lady and they are still comfortable though, so it's certainly not all bad. The film itself is good and we've never had a problem. Where else can you see a movie with popcorn and soda for just $5???? The owner, Dick, is a really nice guy and it's a family run business. Very clean, good movie selection, good location, kid friendly, and they even have 3. D. For $5 you get a movie ticket and a coin that you can redeem for a drink and a snack. Plus nothing is over- priced like the majority of movie theaters. This theater totally feels like a time warp. Little run down, but seating is great. Get the carmel corn (might be kettel corn not sure what they call it) it's good and something different. The theater is never crowded and clean for the age. Good way to kill a Sunday afternoon when it's raining out. This place is huge, and what's even better EMPTY. Granted I'm from LA, so I was ecstatic not to pay $1.
